Northern Words was founded by Sam Butterworth, an expert copywriter, editor and content marketer who’s been writing for marketing and SEO agencies, SMEs, charities and internationally known brands since 2010. 

Sam has worked in journalism, PR and SEO, successfully running teams of writers for over a decade as a senior agency manager. 

He’s brought this ability and experience to Northern Words, making this small but well respected copywriting agency ideally placed to support marketing and SEO teams.

Northern Words is based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, and we work with local agencies and marketers, as well as those spread across the UK and the world.
